Interior Design Architect

We have an immediate opening in our Washington, DC office for an Interior Design Architect with a passion for thoughtful, modern design and specializing in workplace planning and furniture design. This individual will have a portfolio of work which includes the design of commercial office, mixed-use, and institutional interior architecture. Ideally they will have a NAAB accredited professional degree from a competitive architecture/design program and five to 15 years of professional experience. World-class design experience, LEED accreditation, and knowledge of environmentally sensitive building systems and products are also desirable.
Interior Design Architects work directly with project principals to program and design transformative interior building environments that are responsive to client aspirations. The individual role will lead projects through the range of phases from programming and into design and documentation for a wide array of project types, sizes, and complexities.
Qualities desired to excel in this role include an ability to be facile at problem solving, a propensity for developing and maintaining client relationships, and an adeptness at leading teams of architects and designers in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Candidates should possess excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
