STUDIOS worked with the Godrej Group as the interior architect to design their new Global Headquarters in Mumbai, India.
The company had multiple offices across the city of Mumbai with many groups split across geographic locations. Similar business units or departments often competed with each other due to challenging communications capabilities.
We worked with the organization during their transition of leadership to understand their business and present options of how a consolidated office space might help further their changing business goals. We then worked directly with the base building architect, Pelli Clarke Pelli, to help inform the base building in response to their interior needs. Together, we partnered with a local architect to develop a design that responded to local building and construction methods.
The new global headquarters contrasts all white natural stone with local wood. Typical work floors are open plan with extensive sight lines throughout the space.
The resulting headquarters building is the first on the campus. The space brings together disparate business units, increasing efficiencies and communication throughout the organization.
