Patchi, purveyors of gourmet chocolates and luxury gifts, asked STUDIOS to design their new Jeddah retail location. The goal of the project was to create a ‘Patchi Universe’ within a modern style building, in sharp contrast to the other more neoclassical buildings on the same street.

The exterior of the building, with its black marble cladding and trademark gold labels in both English and Arabic, was designed to resemble one of Patchi’s famous chocolates. The store’s three retail floors-linked by a dramatic curved stairway-harmoniously display the company’s different product types. The ground floor showcases their stylishly packaged gourmet milk chocolate candies. Long silver-plated counters and a chocolate cave display samples of each type of candy available.

The store’s warm, chocolate-colored wood furnishings and crisp white walls, ceilings and floors-along with specially designed lighting and fixtures-create a simple yet luxurious ambiance with a touch of Parisian chic.
