STUDIOS designed the interiors of the new 85 story, 1.5 million sf headquarters in Kuala Lumpur for Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), the national oil company of Malaysia. The 3.5 million sf Cesar Pelli-designed office towers, connected by a linking skybridge, rest on a podium formed by a six-story office, retail, hotel and entertainment center complex. The shape of the 16-sided twin towers are influenced by Islamic geometry. The headquarters complex is part of the 100-acre Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) development in central Kuala Lumpur.

STUDIOS collaborated with Cesar Pelli & Associates on the winning design which was selected in an international competition held in 1991.
