RB chose Green Valley, a building in Massy designed by Jean-Paul Viguier and delivered in 2016, as the new location to house the 265 employees of its European headquarters. This building is a genuine crossroads of communication on a national and a European scale.

The main challenge faced with this move was the transition from individualized offices to an open plan environment with up to 65% of flexible floor area, which has to reflect the company’s values and vision. In addition the new facility has to foster creativity and collaboration leading to innovation while also ensuring well-being in the workplace in order to garner employee buy-in and attract new talent, people proud to work for RB. In this way, the new premises help to promote an audacious and constantly mutating company culture.

The project, which is comprised of many formal and informal meeting rooms offering when necessary the kind of quieter and more private exchanges possible in individual offices, have been endowed with exceptional acoustics. Convivial gathering places are scattered throughout the working areas.

In addition, RB considers the sustainability of its actions of primary importance, and therefore has set the objective of reducing its carbon footprint by 20% by 2020. After all, is it not ranked 4th greenest company in the world?
