The law firm Skadden asked STUDIOS to design the extension and renovation of their Parisian offices. The objective was to create on the new floor a client conference center, integrating the reception and client meeting rooms, while developing a more high-end contemporary style in line with the strategic positioning of the firm.

The new spaces display a contemporary design of pure lines, with black “linoleum” table tops integrating state-of-the art technology, contrasting with gold copper decorative panels. All meeting rooms open up on a lounge space where buffet lunches can be served.

The office spaces have a functional treatment. Where size allows, lawyer offices are designed for two people, with light oak furniture. The existing spaces are integrated through the use of harmonized finishes (carpet and core treatment), while keeping the wood work of the original design. The existing floors have been restructured to accommodate a larger library and other support spaces such as cafeteria, reprographics or mail room. The renovation was done in an occupied site, floor by floor.
