In the Belvédère urban complex built by a group of real estate developers, STUDIOS imagines the future headquarters of an occupant: a project integrating the city and nature.
The site is exceptionally situated in a dynamic, urban setting near the Garonne River and the Saint-Jean railway station.
The office building offers an outstanding location and visibility, and the architectural language of its facades and layered volumes makes it particularly identifiable.
A mineral base opens out to face the city and supports a building covered in vertical metallic brise-soleils that shimmer in the light. The building’s curvy upper section allows it to blend in with the rest of the site.
The two segments of the building are connected by a recessed, mostly glazed floor that houses a landscaped area resembling a hanging garden.
The building offers a maximum of openings to let natural light in and highlight the views of its surroundings.
A central patio was designed as an open atrium at the heart of the building, a place for employees to meet up and exchange ideas. It fosters visual connections between the different levels and its passageways and layered spaces creates a feeling of verticality, drawing the eye upward to the skies.
