Ashton excels at crafting designs that solve complex challenges through architecture that is organized and simple. He thoughtfully leads his clients and colleagues through a rich, collaborative process that produces dynamic, unexpected solutions that are informed by the program, site, and culture of each client and project. Thriving in complexity, Ashton is able to synthesize bold design and real-world constraints to deliver world-class architecture.

Making major contributions in master planning, base building, and complex interiors projects throughout his ten plus years at STUDIOS, Ashton is known for his ability to seamlessly guide these complex projects through challenging technical, regulatory, and logistical hurdles. In addition to his recent work on the new Nickelodeon Studios building in Burbank, California, Ashton has been a major component of several of the firms’ award-winning projects, including the USO Wounded Warrior and Family Centers in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and Bethesda, Maryland, as well as Washington Canal Park in Washington, DC.
