The Louis Dreyfus Group asked STUDIOS to design the renovation of its 30-year-old corporate headquarters building, located in an historical area on the west side of Paris between the Arc de Triomphe and the Porte Maillot. The project requires significant work to modernize obsolete and inefficient technical equipment, as well as asbestos abatement. The building’s prestigious location provides STUDIOS with a unique opportunity to make an important design contribution to the Parisian urban landscape.
The eight-story superstructure will mainly house office space, with the ground floor accommodating a mixture of commercial and office uses. A corporate restaurant, technical spaces, archives and a parking garage will be located on three underground levels. The removal of the top level will amend the building’s classification from high-rise to mid-rise. The remaining floors will be expanded to provide additional space.
Louis Dreyfus plans to obtain HQE (high quality environment) certification for the renovated building.
