After MOI’s suburban Northern Virginia office lease expired, the commercial furniture dealer decided to move their office to the District to be closer to their clients and manufacturers. MOI selected STUDIOS to design and develop a branded environment for their new D.C. office.

STUDIOS was challenged with helping MOI create a fresh design and office atmosphere that effectively conveyed the client’s brand image and organized merchandise on the floor. To accomplish this, STUDIOS designed open areas for conference rooms, multipurpose areas, cafe, library and breakout spaces to promote transparency and communication with clean lines and glass walls.

The design team also takes advantage of the tenant’s floor location and close proximity to the street level in one of D.C.’s LEED Platinum-certified buildings located at 1200 19th St. NW. Floor to ceiling windows allow sunlight throughout the space and help the new retail workspace target both customers and members of the trade, as well as reinforce the client’s brand image of sustainable, value-conscious, high-quality design.
