STUDIOS provided pro bono graphic design services to transform a drab internal stair into a vibrant circulation element for the Embarcadero YMCA in San Francisco.

The stairway is the main thoroughfare for members to access classes and locker rooms; the YMCA was looking to refresh it, to brighten it up and create a warm, enjoyable space. The final images feature figures depicting a variety of sports and exercise, all in YMCA branded colors.

STUDIOS is currently working with the Y to renovate their lobby and entryway, which is congested and dark. The design will eliminate the membership kiosks, which currently create a barrier between members and staff. Upon completion, the lobby will be more friendly and approachable, better utilize the space available, and better display program information and merchandise in a bright and fun style.
