STUDIOS’ design for URSSAF’s new regional headquarters in Marseille addresses a number of challenges, including the need for a site that is both identifiable and integrated into its urban landscape and fabric. It also seeks to foster user well-being, anticipate evolution of uses, and promote environmental sustainability, all this with works being carried out while the site continues operations!
To blend the site into its tertiary and residential surroundings, STUDIOS designed a sober pair of buildings with terraces, connected by a central “joint” that opens out onto a parvis.
Quality open spaces have been created to anticipate future developments and serve the link with nature with a real landscaped environment.
Circulation, access, and paths will be optimized for different user profiles. The central “joint” will link the two buildings and house a reception area on the ground floor as well as all of the site’s conviviality and meeting spaces.
