Lyft HQ Featured at Archmarathon 2020

DATEMarch 02, 2020

The STUDIOS-designed Lyft Headquarters in San Francisco was featured at ARCHMARATHON 2020, a three-day event in Miami from February 27th to the 29th. The event is dedicated to the world of design, focusing on architecture and interior design in North, Central, South America, and the Caribbean.

STUDIOS’ Principal, Enrique Sánchez, presented the recently completed Lyft Headquarters which spans across 2 parallel, ¼ mile long buildings in San Francisco’s China Basin. Enrique spoke about the fast-paced, multi-phased effort to knit together disparate spaces into a unified experience and celebrate the fun and discovery of this growing company. To celebrate the fun, STUDIOS used custom graphics, a curated furniture package, light and color to infuse the space with the ideas of movement, innovation, and authenticity -- gradations of pinks, purple, blues, and greens on columns and walls identify break areas, elevator lobbies, and other circulation elements.

“Our objective is to share select work that makes people think about the most important relationship in architecture and interior design: the one between design and human beings. Before being a client, a user or broker, human beings are individuals who use, enjoy and experience the end result of the design and construction process, whether it be aimed at giving shape to a chair, an apartment, a building or a city.”
