STUDIOS' Playful Design for "Chairity"

STUDIOS designers Atousa Shafizadeh, Elizabeth Radtke, and Emily Ayers collaborated with London-based furniture manufacturer Very Good & Proper to create a custom backgammon coffee table for Charity 2020. Our team’s beautiful, one-of-a-kind table uses color, pattern, and materiality to bring people together in an artful and playful way.

Chairity invites designers to up-cycle or create new furniture pieces to raise funds for local non-profits. In 2020, the event was expanded beyond the chair to include more open-ended designs. 30 design teams were paired with 30 manufacturers to develop and produce auction items. To learn more about how Chairity is building community through design, visit their website here.
