Andrew Lindberg, AIA

Andrew has been promoted to Associate Principal. As an architect and designer, Andrew strives to create exceptional experiences. He believes that architecture can be the catalyst that brings people together, and he is passionate about creating spaces that are welcoming to all members of the community. Through his experiences, Andrew has learned that working with people of all backgrounds always elicits the greatest solutions, and you get the best outcomes when everyone’s opinions are valued.

Janet Shuy
SAN FRANCISCO

Janet has been promoted to Associate Principal. A skilled listener with excellent attention to detail, Janet ensures clients’ goals are carried through the design. She is a positive team member who is direct, energized, and always willing to tackle challenges head-on. Since joining STUDIOS in 2018, Janet has primarily focused on campus planning, large-scale workplace projects, and workplace strategy. A licensed architect, she enjoys taking conceptual ideas and testing them against real-world constraints to discover novel solutions that transform physical space.

Qiana Nesbitt
WASHINGTON, DC

Qiana has been promoted to Associate Principal. Since 2004, Qiana has served as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager of multiple Principals, providing administrative, organizational, and operational support. With more than two decades of experience, she plays an integral role in keeping the office running smoothly, coordinating day-to-day operations, planning events, managing schedules and communications, and supporting leadership.

Rebecca Frederick
NEW YORK

Rebecca has been promoted to Associate Principal. Rebecca believes that design can be strategically implemented to improve end‑user experiences, foster economic success for organizations, and strengthen connections within a company. Her driven yet curious disposition is integral to how she approaches challenges and executes design solutions. As a skillful visual communicator, Rebecca finds inspiration from her clients and thrives on the collaboration that naturally occurs between the design team and client. She firmly believes that great design is able to tell a story from many different perspectives, uniquely reflecting each client's cultural values and idiosyncrasies through the built environment.

Scott Gillespie, AIA
WASHINGTON, DC

Scott has been promoted to Associate Principal. Scott is a registered architect with more than 12 years of experience designing across multiple scales and typologies, from workplace to residential and educational. An intuitive, creative thinker who enjoys working through complex design challenges and translating ideas into thoughtful, unique and buildable solutions, he believes in a design approach grounded in curiosity and exploration, bringing a balance of design vision, technical understanding, and attention to detail.

Bingyu Guan, AIA
NEW YORK

Bingyu has been promoted to Associate. Bingyu brings a passion for design and eye for details to see designs come to life to each project she’s a part of. Her experience has ranged from building renovations including large-scale masterplanning and small-scale interventions as well as shaping user experience in workplace. Bingyu brings an expertise in coordination efforts with large complex teams—working collectively to realize details and strategies toward functional, cost effective, and beautiful designs. Her talents across design programs supports a seamless design process.

Carmen Chan, AIA
WASHINGTON, DC

Carmen has been promoted to Associate. Carmen has a strong background in the design and development of high-profile multifamily residential projects. Since joining STUDIOS in 2022, she has contributed to the success of projects across a wide range of sectors including mixed-use, residential, government, civic, and institutional projects. Carmen excels at working with teams to identify complex problems and ensure successful project delivery. Notable projects include the Georgetown Flour Mill, GSA IDIQ SDSC Cares Act - GSA Region 9, and DGS Garfield Elementary School.

John Oliver
SAN FRANCISCO

John Oliver has been promoted to Associate. A conscientious designer, John creates designs unique to each client, location, and culture. His experience ranges from commercial to residential and brings a passion for finding efficient and harmonious solutions. Through his recent work with tech clients such as Netflix, Yahoo, and DoorDash, John has gained a deep understanding of the significance of fostering workplace innovation while ensuring a balanced and thoughtful design approach.

Lori North
WASHINGTON, DC

Lori has been promoted to Associate. As a Designer at STUDIOS Architecture, Lori applies a communication-driven design approach that prioritizes a clear understanding of the design intent of each of her projects, and enjoys finding innovative solutions that adhere to those principles. Her experience in diplomatic, civic, hospitality, workplace, and education projects has fostered an interest in how the industry can drive progress in sustainability, resilience, and equity. Lori’s long-held interest in architecture’s role as a representation of a culture and its values led her to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Clemson University.

Qiong Wu

Qiong has been promoted to Associate. Driven by curiosity, Qiong is constantly imagining, “what if?" He is known for tackling challenging problems and discovering unique solutions. With over 12 years of experience, Qiong has completed a variety of projects ranging from sprawling corporate campuses to strategic interventions. His team relies on him to complete the technical aspects of designs, going beyond aesthetics to think through the systemic and regulatory requirements of functional use. Whether optimizing a workstation, designing a new theater, or laying out city plaza, Qiong creates spaces that support the health and happiness of people who spend time in them.

Stephanie Murri
SAN FRANCISCO

Stephanie has been promoted to Associate. Stephanie brings both creative vision and strategic execution to every project, with a reputation for delivering exceptional results on time and on budget. A strong communicator, she excels at coordinating cross-functional teams, strengthening client relationships, and guiding the design process from concept to completion. She has a talent for finding the heart of every project, ensuring each client's brand identity is fully captured.

Xiaoyu Yang
SAN FRANCISCO

Xiaoyu has been promoted to Associate. Guided by her understanding that design is essential to human experience, Xiaoyu is responsible for bridging the gap between initial vision and technical execution. Her experience spans specialized research and development facilities, creative corporate offices, and welcoming mixed-used destinations. With creativity and a keen eye, she synthesizes input from across the team, coordinating diverse trades and disparate processes to deliver complete, functional spaces. Xiaoyu is committed to creating well-designed spaces that remove friction from users’ daily lives, giving them the focus and clarity to grow—as individuals, and as a community.
