Taking inspiration from the company’s origins as a doughnut delivery service and by the history of their home city of San Francisco, STUDIOS partnered with growing online delivery company DoorDash on the multi-phased expansion of their headquarters office within a historic building in the SOMA neighborhood.
We introduced playful colors and shapes reminiscent of classic doughnut sprinkles, and developed a theme for each floor: the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition (in progress), the 1940s Fillmore jazz era, and the 1970s Pride movement (in progress). The expanded headquarters features significant new amenity and gathering spaces, including a quiet lounge, and a large multipurpose event and training space.
We also worked with DoorDash to develop their graphics standards. The project serves as a model for other offices across the country and future international expansion.
