The team looked to the river and sky to build the color palette and to choose materials, such as the light-reflecting blue tile which creates a stunning feature off main reception. Blue and silver accents are balanced by warm natural wood and stone finishes. These more traditional materials are considered the “foundation” of Boston. The warm tones temper the cool modern accents, thereby creating a balanced space that reflects its local culture while supporting the firmwide identity. The river further inspired the team to incorporate open areas and transparency to allow for plenty of natural light and views of the river throughout the space.
