Connectivity and flexibility were key to Orrick. Alongside the conference area and break room, we created large central gathering spaces that can be used for internal events or external outreach, as well as a two-story internal stair that links reception with the break area, allowing easy flow and interaction between attorneys and staff. The floor plan can also be easily adapted from open plan work areas to private interior offices.

We located the main break room on the perimeter to provide all staff with access to views and daylight, and created casual meeting areas in the perimeter corners, forgoing the traditional attorney corner office.
