JBG Smith engaged STUDIOS as the Design Architect for this 380 unit, 19-story apartment building of approximately 360,000 square feet. JBG's larger portfolio in National Landing includes numerous sites, hence making architectural diversity one of their overall goals for the project and area.

At 2001 South Bell, our design explores the creative use of color in the façade. We worked with multiple brick manufacturers to develop a custom patinated copper and glazed brick inset into precast. The result is a new iconic tower within the surrounding neighborhood.
